Outsourcing Readiness Assessment
CDC Global Services' Outsourcing Readiness Assessment helps our customers take the functions they are considering outsourcing and map expectations against business goals, current state processes and performance metrics. It is a perfect first step as part of a well-planned, strategic outsourcing effort.
As a result, our customers will have an accurate picture of their organization's readiness to move a project or entire development efforts offshore. We can also help build a roadmap to readiness, enabling our customers to avoid some common pitfalls that can lead to failure in an outsourcing initiative. If you are ready, CDC Global Services can deliver recommendations and an action plan to get your initiative on its way.
Regardless of whether you are considering a pilot project or evaluating the business impact of a full offshore development center, CDC Global Services Outsourcing Readiness Assessment can help you take that first step to ensure that expectations, goals and processes are aligned to improve the chances of success.
Getting Started
It's easy to work with CDC Global Services to schedule an Outsourcing Readiness Assessment. Once an assessment is scheduled, CDC Global Services will prepare a questionnaire to help us get a better understanding of your organization's current operations and expectations. The questionnaire takes an in-depth look at the organization, including:
- Business goals and expectations for outsourcing
- Functions considered for outsourcing
- Prioritization and criticality of each function
- Currently utilized processes and methodologies
- Security policies
- Workflow and planning processes
- Performance metrics
Once this information is gathered, the team will analyze the information to assess the organization's readiness for outsourcing, as well as prepare recommendations for next steps. A typical assessment, including interview, analysis and reporting, can take between 2-4 weeks.
